Perched high directly above the prehistoric caves of Font de Gaume and Combarelles, at the end of a picturesque hamlet called Le Repaire, Karen and John will be pleased to welcome you on their property where you can enjoy breath-taking panoramic views over the quaint village of Sireuil, its 12th century roman abbey church and the Vézère Valley also known as the Vallée de l’Homme, providing you with a feeling of peace, tranquillity, and total privacy. A stone’s throw away only from Sarlat, the Dordogne River Valley and its numerous imposing medieval castles of the Hundred Years’ War.

The Gîtes de St Christophe*** are categorised 3 star self-catering holiday accomodations by the Comité Départemental du Tourisme de la Dordogne.

The Gîtes de St Christophe*** form part of an ensemble of beautiful honey colour limestone buildings dating back to the early 1800s, with one of the two gîtes, named “Lavande”, being the original baker's house for the hilltop hamlet, (the original baker’s stone oven of 1826 beautifully preserved in the main bedroom)!

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, our gîtes have been lovingly restored to provide comfortable rustic yet stylish self-catering, holiday cottages (gîtes) that come with a large, relaxing swimming pool (8x4 m)and spacious sun terraces (40 m square) which benefit from one of the best panoramic views in the region!

The gîtes are available to rent all year round for adults-only holidays makers. Both are equipped with free WIFI and a flat TV, blu ray DVD player and decodeur with a choice of more than 300 international TV channels and radio stations. We speak English, French and Spanish, therefore communication should be easy with us for any enquiries you may have during your stay! The gîtes are perfect for couples who wish to enjoy a quiet and romantic stay. The two gîtes may be rented alone or together. Our family includes a very timid cat, therefore we regret we cannot accept guests’ pets.

And, to guarantee an easy start to your holiday, we will be happy to offer you a complimentary “Welcome Basket” of local goodies including a bottle of wine, pâtés, and a traditional French baguette for a total value of 20 euros approx. (for all stays of 7 nights or more).

In any case, there is a choice of great bistros and gastronomy restaurants in the village of Les Eyzies as well as a supermarket and bakeries, all within less than 5 minutes' drive.

A bientôt

Karen & John
